Full Metal Panic Light Novel Final Volume To Be Released In Spring 2010

Shoji Gatoh [賀東招二], the author who created the Full Metal Panic [フルメタル・パニック!] series has announced on his blog that he is writing the final volume of the light novel series.
For those who can read Japanese, here’s what he wrote on the blog:
えー、それで。
おそらく、ここをご覧になってる方は一番聞きたいことがあるのではないかと思います。はい、フルメタ長編の最終巻ですね。
現在も執筆中です。大変苦戦しておりますが、どうにか春には。春にはお届けできるのではないかと思います。
決して放り出したわけではありません。ついさっき書いてた場面も宗介がアルと【ピーーー】の話をしていたり、テッサが発令所で【ピーーー】をしていたり（以下略）
ただ……ちょっと微妙な気がしたので、またごっそり削除して書き直したりしてるのですが。
The author reveals that if all things goes well, the final volume will be released in Spring 2010. He also mentioned that he might continue to write more short stories after the final volume is released.

I never even got round to watching Second Raid, never mind reading it.
Fumoffu kinda ruined it for me I think.
fumoffu is actually one of the best comedy series u can find around. i guess comedy is just not ur taste
It definitely is, and IMO its a good break between the action of the 1st series and the 2nd raid
Reckon I should catch up on the english translated novel…
Will their be an anime version of this final volume? I really hope they make one!
wow i really hope there will be another anime sequel for FMP and it must by produced by kyoto animation ^^
Same here. Would be awesome if we can see the Laevatein in action ( °٢° ). And of course more Kaname lovin’ (with a harisen).
