Ita-Ema: Otaku New Year Wishes

Many Japanese would visit the local shrine or temple on New Years Day and write down their wish for the year on a wooden tablet called “ema” [絵馬]. Folks would then hang these good luck charms at the temple for good luck.

If you have an otaku wish, you could also leave behind an “Ita-ema” and pen down your wish such as “I want to marry a seiyuu!”. ^^

I wonder what would happen if someone really liked your drawing and stole it from the shrine. Then would you still have good luck for the rest of the year? LOL
