Giant Japanese Salamanders

An interesting short documentary by National Geographic on gigantic Japanese salamanders.

Now I know where the Japanese get their inspiration for Godzilla and other huge lizard monsters.

  1. Saw these salamanders in a documentary once. I forgot if they continue growing throughout their lives but if they do then it just might be possible for them to grow as big as that one on the float O_o

Aww, poor thing! >.< But they really reminds of that Korean movie, "The HOST" where there is this big fish monster living in the river!

  3. BlackSun88 says:

    that is really huge

  4. Woah it’s huge. And here I thought that Salamanders only existed in games and fairytales. >_>

Just love those salamanders. I won’t say they’re cute, but there’s something about them that makes them somewhat nice. ^^

They’re even present in Age of Empires III, when you play at Japan. If you’re playing with the Japanese you may build a shrine near them to get some extra-resources or extra-experience.
