Final Fantasy XIII Sells 1.5 Million Copies In First Week

Square Enix finally release Final Fantasy XIII in Japan last Thursday on 17 Dec 2009. So how was the sales performance in its first weekend? According to famitsu, more than 1.5 million copies of the PS3 game and nearly 250,000 PS3 console was sold in one weekend (17 Dec 2009- 20 Dec 2009).
Specifically, 1,516,532 copies of the game was sold, while 24,5406 PS3 consoles were sold within the opening week. I think this is one of the best sales figure for the PS3.

So how many of you have already gotten yourself a copy of the Japanese edition of FFXIII? I have been playing it over the weekend and I’m totally blown away by the awesome graphics.
Unfortunately, I can’t read Kanji, so I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it.
Otherwise, I’d have it by now =)
This kind of things are my primary reason to learn Japanese, i really wish we could have the English version by now but its just a useless hope. By the way, wasn’t a 360 version released too? i wondered how different they really are
good for u.. can’t read Jap, so no point getting the game now.. i realli wish they can release jap and eng version together.. March is still a way..
i watch the demo online, lightning is so cool..
arghhhhh… just to play this game i wanna buy a PS3 >_< i want my school days to end soon so i can play it!!!
Can’t afford it currently after vacation
Maybe once I got my allowance next month then I’ll be getting it. And boxing day is coming in a few days..so have to save some for that
i am also happy for the 360 version so they will also sale more copies then in the past standalone for Sony.
