Time to announce the first Christmas Giveaway! For this giveaway, I went out and bought a box of Nendoroid Puchi Vocaloids, and I intend to send one puchi vocaloid to 12 lucky readers. I will be packing the puchi vocaloids together with all the other items into 12 seperate mystery bags, and the bags would then be sent out to the prize winners randomly. In summary, you wouldn’t know which puchi vocaloid you will be getting until you open the bag ^^
The task for this giveaway is very simple. I intend to use take this opportunity to gather feedback from my readers, therefore I would really appreciate your honest opinions on the following questions:
What do you like most about alafista.com?
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
Here are the rules of the giveaway and what you need to do:
- Leave your comments for the two questions I had asked above.
- The deadline for this giveaway is 25 Dec 2009, 12:oopm (GMT +8).
- Giveaway is open to everyone around the globe. I will send the giveaway to you even if you live in the North Pole.

Simple enough? There is sufficient time before the deadline so you might want to take your time to think about it before answering. Good Luck!

Pingback: alafista.com - A Fusion of Japan's Otaku and Popular Culture
I really like alafista since the designs on the page are really nice and pretty, plus there are lots of figure news and what not so it’s really good to find out about things~ I’d really like to see more reviews of figures though
Wow, a giveaway, awesome!
What I most like about your site? Phew, difficult to decide.
I think it’s the perfect blend between the different facettes of japanese and net culture. I’m not much into the j-pop or idol-scene, but reading your posts has awakened my interest to it. ^^
I also really like the shortness of (most of) your posts. On other blogs, you see walls of text and after a few sentences you don’t want to read further.
It’s also nice to see your dedication for your readers (as read on the “about me”- page), especially giving out a giveaway for free. That’s the spirit!
What you could improve: Post more photos of Singapore. I think your a great photographer, looking at the travelogues and the likes and I like looking at nicely shot photos of everyday life in other countries.
I like the interesting news in Japan posted on alafista .. For example, the room full of GC.. I dun realli read mika-tan blog as i can’t read jap..
Sometime alafista also informs me the pre-orders available.. I also like ur travelogue, tat’s wad draws me to this website at first..
I tink you should either do more reviews on figures since u have the limited and rare nendos.. Or have longer post, sometimes i feel that ur post is abit short with few of ur thoughts and feelings on it..
U can post random pics of ur figures as u take amazing pics!
What a great thing you are doing for this Christmas giveaway. You are being quite generous if I may say so. I’ve been following your blog, via Danny Choo and and now w/twitter for some time. Your site is very clean and well thought out. You don’t just cram things in for the sake of it. I myself like some of the older anime. The first 2 that I remember growing up were Astro Boy and Kimba the White Lion. Now that was many moons ago.
I got rehooked back watching Neon Genesis Evangelion and now also Bleach.
I am also finding things about country from people I have met on twitter.
Just keep up all the great work you’ve been doing. Maybe a review of some of the older figures out their would be nice once and a while.
So ganbatte ne!
First time here, linked from figure.fm and dcc. I know this doesn’t put me in the running for the giveaway, but my first impressions are that this is a nicely put together site, not a lot of flash or overbearing color. It’s interesting from a first look that I’ll definitely be returning to see more.
My favorite thing about this website:
You post A LOT. There are a lot of blogs out there that only post every couple weeks but I never get bored here because you post so often..
Another thing I like is the diversity of the posts and how you can read them based on category. I’m not a huge fan of gravure models and idols (I’m a teenage girl haha) But I really enjoy the posts about otaku and japan, so I like that I can basically choose what articles I want to read.
One thing you should do, I think, is post more photos you’ve taken of your own figures. Your photography seems to be pretty good and I’d like to see more of it. Sometimes seeing the product pictures of figures isn’t quite the same as seeing the real thing, If you know what I mean.
That’s my honest opinion
I’m not interested in the give away so please leave me out of it!
Question 1.
I like your site because:
its simple
easy to find the stuff needed
updates on latest figure orders + pre-orders
interesting content from time to time(not saying all of it is boring)
Question 2
Maybe you should blog about your daily life? That’s all I can say really, since you have covered almost everything. Honestly though, it’s your blog, so you should write about what you want, not what others want.
Hope this helped.
Well, since my English is not the best I hope that at least it sounds consistent.
What I like about alafista, and what attracted me to the site was with no doubt their reviews of figures, I’ve always been a fan of Figma and with this blog I could see the incredible variety out there, and since I am interested in traveling around someday, your blog has been a very useful source of information to learn a little more about the culture in those places.
If I were to mention any improvements to the site, I think you’re a great photographer and it would be good to not only post pictures of your Nendo’s Travelogue but to photograph the things that seem interesting, so we can see from your point of view all of your surroundings and know more of these places. Finally, your site was inaccessible in recent days (at least for me), it would be a good idea to put a error message at least if something like that happens
That’s a cute Idea!
What do you like most about alafista.com?
Well, basicaly I really like comfortable design and colors of this skin. It’s very cozy and my eyes are not getting tired of watching /reading the content here.
Also, It’s great that this blog does not focus only at Anime and Figures, Genereally, I liked reading about funny commercials and enjoyed Japanese Christmas tree :3
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
Maybe you should talk more about yourself? I am reading this blog, about from 2008 but Rly don’t remember reading about you
What do you like most about alafista.com?
It’s obvious that I like your post especially the hot babe and some funny surprising stuff from Japan. I think you should know that by checking your most page entry. hahaha
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
I like your blog design layout and arrangement but not your logo. I think you should also do a contest for your new logo, icon or mascot.
1) I like the constant updates of weird and interesting news & stories on toys, events in Japan. Good job on providing us with these fun facts regularly. Sometimes I can see Alafista.com appearing a few times on Otaku.fm each day!!! These updates are short and sweet so they will not take up too much time and be bored.
This blog also engages reader such as these giveaways and the mascot designing competition. It is always good to have some form of interaction between blogger and readers.
2) Figure reviews or something like the travelogues which will showcase the beauty of those figurines. Post more beautiful pictures of the country.
Maybe even do posts which provide tips for figure photography or just normal photography.
I think that all.
Definitely your site design. It’s really nice and well done.
Also, your photos are great,and very colorful and cute^^ I love seeing them posted, so that’s what I think you should have more of^^ adorable figure photos
Question 1:
What do you like most about alafista.com?
That would be the news around japan itself. I do take my news regarding japan’s society and public matters in different sites but of course getting another person’s point of view is important to me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Question 2:
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
Overall it would just be “To introduce a new content”. Yes, alafista.com is able to convey what is needed to a wide variety of readers who frequent the site itself. But there is always the question “what can make alafista be different from other japan society news & hobby central.” One that could add up is an editorial/review/mock up for a popular figure release. I do know that a lot of people are doing this but im pretty sure the site author can cook up something to make it stand out amongst the rest.
It doesn’t have to be every popular figure. It can be one of the most “controversial” release such as the Figma Saber Lily or the undisputed internet popularity of Figma Drossel which is very hard to explain and if someone can tackle it properly. I’m all hands down to that person.
The site is well layed-out already although site sponsors might need to have a little facelift but overall the site is great and hope it will continue to be like so in the years to come.
What do I like most about this site ?
CONTENT.
You’ve got so much of it, it’s great, and the “you might like this” link at the bottom of the post ensures you’ll be spending lots of time looking at all the latest figures and funky foods and what not.
There is always more pages to look at to keep you interested.
Also, it’s nice to have a place with all the funky Japanese news in English, usually its all in Japanese so I can’t read it, so now I have a way to keep up with all the craziness in Japan.
What should be improved or written more about ?
One thing I’d like to see is more articles per page, right now there is only 6, so you have to be pressing the “next page” button a lot. Or if you could make that thingy that when you scroll to the bottom it loads more pages, that’d be great.
One thing I’d like to see more of is figure reviews, mostly the things that get posted are figure previews, but I’d like to see photo shoots and reviews.
I like the minimalistic design and the colors chosen at the header. They blend really well together.
I’d like to see more technological advancements coming from japan. That would be pretty interesting to read about.
While I love your figure coverage, I also like Alafista for the interesting news articles from Japan that you post. Not sure how you come across these sometimes unusual topics, but they’re always entertaining! That said, what I like most about this site is the balance between topics~ And since you post so often, I never find myself missing one or the other.
If there was one thing on this site that I would like to see more of, it would have to be more articles related to you. If you’re working on a project, pictures of your collections, photography from your area, etc. Your “About Me” page tells so little about you! It would be nice to see/read more about the face behind the page.
1. What do you like most about alafista.com?
What I like about alafista.com that it has post on something at heart, at heart that it has it’s own originalities, a very interesting talk about Japan and the revolving world of otakus, but there is something quite indifferent on this, something quite exquisite about insights on Japan, articles that may correlate on news regarding stuffs knowing what’s new. Alafista is known as an SGblogger but his insights are rather surprising, he knows stuffs around Japan and the otakusphere, reading mostly the articles made me inspired and knowing more out of curiosity, it made me into this, learning stuffs, and to think I’m not even Japanese to relate but simply it defeats that idea, informative articles such as this on this site may interest you in such wonderful and inspiring words of an otaku and neverending thoughts how can he relate on Otaku stuffs, a self-proclaiming otaku won’t be bad if one gets to inspired another person who gets starting to learn this.
2. How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
Improving is a good suggestion, but the articles are already complete, Photography and arts are not a bad idea, try to write more out of it.
What do you like most about alafista.com?
Your site is simple.
Daily updates for daily reading)
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
Would be glad to see posts like “a Singapore photo per day”.
Maybe you should add posts about your life in singapore like
DannyChoo.
and add preview function for comments)
What do you like most about alafista.com?
I love the Nendoroid photo shoots that you do, that always get a smile out of me.
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
Maybe have some Tech News added to the site, but other than that, the site is great.
What do you like most about alafista.com?
I love the simplicity and how there are no annoying pop ups. All your articles use very good spelling and grammar and I’m really amazed at how you are able to post articles every single day. It keeps your readers up to date on all the new upcoming figures, news of Japan, and the funny interesting things we like. I love your Nendo’s Travelogue also. You have a really nice camera and take high quality pictures. Your site is one that every Otaku should read like DannyChoo.
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
The site’s design/layout does not need to be changed or improved, but I love reading figure reviews. I, myself do not really like writing figure reviews, but I think that’s one thing this site could use that would improve it significantly. I am aware that you own mostly Nendoroids but I think that everybody would still really like to see reviews of them.
1. The giveaways.
2. More giveaways.
1.What do you like most about alafista.com?
I love how there is constant updates all the time and all of them high quality ( i sound like a suck up) and theres always a wide range of articles from gaming,figures to ecchi ,also i love having the post put on twitter really helps as i can contstanly be updated
2.How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
I preatty much love how evrything is laydout and i think all the articles are great so i cant really think of anything ,mabey a bit more articles on the city cause i do enjoy them when you have done them.Also mabey some articles mabey evrey week featuring your favourite figure for that week,mabey a new realse,mabey a old favourite
What do you like most about alafista.com?
Honestly I am a casual reader of the blog. I’ve known him for some time, but my visits are not always constant and assiduous.
But I must admit that I like this site for some things: first the page’s layout, because I’m very attracted to the layout of the site (I deal with web design and development, etc..), Very functional and very useful purpose. The contents are not boring and easy to read even for those who are not native speakers.
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
I think it is important to develop content more important and long on news and trends in the country. I think it is good to a foreign reader also know the recipes and how to cook delicious food in Japan. Finally, a personal note, I’d like to know more about the personal views on any anime or manga reviewed.
1.What do you like most about alafista.com?
1) I like the most on your site is about new news of figures.
Thats mine main reason follow your site.
2.How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?2.How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
2) You could write news include your self when you got invoked example like otaku news,Japan news, etc
What do you like most about alafista.com?
I like the design of the site, the colors of the tab and how it gives you a welcoming look.
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
I suggest you try making your banner look more appealing, other then that there is nothing much to improve on.
What do you like most about alafista.com?
This site is a mixture of a few sites that I frequent. It’s got news about japan, stuff about figures (which I really like), info about the otaku/Japanese culture, but it’s got it’s own uniqueness to it all.
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
More pictures. Also, something like Danny’s “Week in Tokyo” series would be pretty cool. Something to make it feel more than just a site to get the latest news and gossip.
P.S.: This giveaway is a super cool idea and it’s nice to see people running their own giveaways.
Oh, I missed out on the petit vocaloids… here’s my chance…!
1. The way a website or blog looks plays a major role in how much time I spend on the site. I will often skip over sites, even if they contain good content, if I don’t like how they are organized. This is the reason why I haven’t spent much time on Danny Choo or figure.fm– it took me a long time to figure out where things were and while I’ve gotten better at it, I still spend much more time on alafista. I mean no disrespect to Danny because he certainly has his role near the heart of the figure community, but I tend to use him only for the most recent news. On alafista, I often find myself clicking around, visiting older posts, enjoying the pictures, news from Japan, food… you name it! Everything is flawlessly organized and easy on the eye. Before alafista, I was only vaguely familiar with Japanese idols, but I’ve always loved the “kawaii” culture that we lack here in the states and so (being a girl, I surprised myself!) one of my favorite sections to read through is the gravure. I also love all the random tidbits of interesting news from Japan and I often find myself sharing them with friends. Even more than Danny Choo, alafista is really my headquarters for Japanese news and culture. The layout + excellent content = addicting.
2. I follow lots of figure-related blogs and while each has something different to offer, for me alafista is more about Japan and less about the figures. For that reason, I’d like to see you expand your news from Japan. The gravure section makes me want to hear more about the idols and what made them famous aside from being cute. I can’t read Japanese so it’s difficult to me to learn about idols elsewhere (and I’m sure there’s others like me, as well!). I’d love to see more things related to cosplay and fashion since these would tie in with the idols and jtunes (visual kei, gothic lolita and other street fashions). I guess that might be asking a lot– and maybe I’m just biased since it’s where my interests are– but I could really see such content fit in well with what you currently have. It would be amazing if you took your photography skills and used them to take pictures of people (fashion) and places as well as your figures. This would attract readers outside of the figure community and I think it would really help alafista rise to the next level.
Sorry for the long post ^^; I really love this website. Keep up the great work!
Hmm, good questions.
Firstly, the thing I like most about your website, would be the fact that you write about varied things, such as figures, trailers, random stuff, stormtroopers, photo shoots, gravure, etc. I’d never have known about Stationmaster Tama if you hadn’t written about him =)
Improvements… hmm.
Well, I guess getting the site/rss (whichever was broken, I visit via RSS) back up is a good improvement =). But in regards to site stuff, I’d say it would be nice to have a few different banners at the top, which randomly load, so it feels a little more varied. An example can be found at http://myfigurecollection.net/
Other than that, I can’t really think of any way to improve, it seems pretty much perfect already, since you already redesigned and I must say this new version is much better. Easier to navigate too I think.
What do you like most about alafista.com?
I like how it’s not all focused on figures, even though figures are really nice. I enjoy seeing cosplay or random Japanese products, (like the Itazura Coin Box that I ordered for my friend) as well as anime news that I would have never known about.
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
I prefer more product-based news than Idol, with the exception of cosplayers. it would be neat to see some more great cosplay photos.
Thank you very much for providing this site.
Question 1: I like the site because it’s very well organized and has good content.
Question 2: You could do more figure reviews.
What I like about alafista is the clean layout, it’s easy to navigate around. You do reviews and talk ’bout random things that are of interest to you.
I don’t think you should improve on the site, but if anything just… I guess you could be more open about yourself and sorta do a daily blog or something along that line.
Ho ho ho hooo… nice Xmas giveaway. I will try again
*What do you like most about alafista.com?
Your page always has been a great source of news about figures and japanese-stuff (from robotics to new flavors of Kit Kat), it’s the style of things that do not always get on other blogs, it broadens the range of your readers and think that’s why I like to return to read Alafista.
*How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
Perhaps my not-favorite label is Alafista are the idols, I guess that is because I am a girl and I hate the topic of large breasted girls and little clothing XD, although it produces a lot of visitors and they like to male visitors of the blog.
In 2010 I’d like to read more of Nendo’s Travelogue, photos of your figures (and Kodomut’s ones) in such stunning locations in Singapore are precious.
Happy holidays, Alvin
What I like most about Alafista is that the author has a nice personality and doesn’t tend to sound accusatory, so i like his attitude.
What I think needs the most improvement is that it needs to become more of the author’s site. As it stands, he mostly posts news articles that are taken from other places that have already reported them, which largely means that the news is already somewhat old, and not worth reporting on unless you are going to give more of your opinion on the subjects. Also, I’d like to see the words ‘coolsome’ and ‘kawaii’ not used ever >.>
I have had your blog on my feeds list for a long time (or at least I can’t remember when I added it). I have always enjoyed your photo posts and figure announcements because I liked looking at them, telling myself that I have neither the money nor the space for them. (And I’d like to see more of them too!) But as those Nendo posts got more the desire grew to get one (or two?) myself. At some point I just couldn’t resist anymore >_< and now the preorders are piling up. xD Following this blog has gotten me into collecting, at least a little (don't have that much spare money anyway ^^;), so thanks a lot ^_^/ !
What do you like most about alafista.com?
I love how you cover the general otaku pop culture and alafista’s take on the anime world. I have subscribed many RSS feeds and evidently, some will quote your blogs as a source. That’s how I got to know alafista, so keep it up!
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
I really enjoy all the content you cover and read all your blogs. I wish you’d also cover more music related material not just from an otaku sense, but what’s popular in Japan and so on. Maybe if you can, take pictures of Japan or anime events and expo’s so those who can’t go can be jealous lol.
Q.What do you like most about alafista.com?
A.Your site is a “second” place (after DC.com – I must to be honest wiht you) where I can see how “Beautiful” and some time funny Japan is. Like your news about Japan/from Japan (Idols, figure, moe and funny stuff’s …) soo that is the most part I like about alafista.com .
Q.How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
A. I would like to see (read)… more about Japan/more about yourself (Your life), …the new figures/anime stuff that is released… figure preview/review and more JapanProbe stuff on your blog, pleas!!! ><
Happy Christmas and Happy New Year 2010 to You and to everyone here!!!
Q1: I prefer your random travelogue figure omake, as well as those scenery shots… Oh ya, more pretty 3D gurls pwease… *@_@* 2D loli is fine too… XD
Q2: I believe the ad link on the right bar took quite a lot of space… You should shrink them down quite a bit so your main posts appear wider… Your main attraction is on the posts not ads, no?
What do you like most about alafista.com?
-Well, the major thing for me that I like about the site and why I keep coming back is that you give me updates on upcoming seasons of anime and anything awesome happening in Japan.(you know, since I don’t live there.XD)
Actually, it’s pretty funny, I found this site while doinng a research paper for my school on anime, and it was one of my sources, so I guess you guys are educational too!^^
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about
-Hmmm…the only thing that I could think of that could use some improvement is maybe having a dynamic banner at the top of the page, you know, like one that changes pictures everytime you refresh a page.^^ That’s all.
Keep up the good work, you guys are my primary link to what happens in Japan!XD
I have started to view your articles some days ago and I was surprised I have not seen the site sooner.
1. What do you like most about alafista.com?
I like looking at the short to the point articles that you post since I do not have much time to read long article posts so short articles suit me better.
2. How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
I only seen your articles for some days and read quite a few of them since I was hooked on some of the posts presented so I would say to introduce how Singapore is being influenced by Japan. I just say this because I keep hearing that Japan is starting to have a larger influence on Singapore. It would be interesting to hear how this is affecting Singapore today.
I think the thing I like the most about alafista is that there’s always something brand new, something that I would never have imagined I would read ever. Pretty much the reason the internet is so great; alafista exposes us to new and exciting things from overseas, and even if I don’t always find them interesting (but I almost always do), I appreciate what I’m getting
As for what to improve, I love the nendo travel photos, so post more of those. Also, I think you should write more reviews on figures or thoughts on events. More opinions from you, which may make some readers mad, but it also adds more personality to your writing.
Maybe start with what you think of FF13 when you’re done
? I’m dying to see someone write about it, because all that we have is Famitsu’s 39, 2ch rantings, and a bunch of screenshots showing how beautiful and linear it is.
Merry xmas! Also, pick meeee!
1. What do you like most about alafista.com?
- What I like most about this site is the interesting and dynamic content that it delivers.
2. How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
- How ’bout some articles on Japanese video games or anything that’s happening in the Japanese video gaming scene?
1 )What do you like most about alafista.com?
I like the content of alafista.com. As mentioned by many readers, there’s not much sites out there with interesting & constant amount of content about Japan culture, news and hobbies. I almost visit alafista everyday to see the updated contents, especially on anime, gravure and Japan news. Being in the internet industry, your news on Japan’s technology, art and interactive contents are just what i need to keep myself updated of Japan in the industry.
2 ) How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
I think most readers would wanna know more about you, more of your comments on the articles you wrote. How about adding more content on the music in Japan, especially on Jpop and Jrock. Furthermore, how about a Fan profile of Alafista on Facebook or even twitter?
Thanks, Alafista is a great site!
What do you like most about alafista.com?
Well it is the site that introduced me to collectible figures (only knew about all this about a month ago). I don’t currently own any, but the more I look at this site the more I am about to take the plunge on owning some, I think I am stopping with some Nendoroids just because they are more within my current budget.
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
I would love to see some articles about gundam modeling. I also would like to see some more “this is for beginners” articles. For people like me who just got introduced to this kind of data, it would be great to know a little more of what everything is.
Overall though this site has been great and have a happy holiday as well!
What do you like most about alafista.com?
I like that Alafista has a pretty equal blend of figure-related articles and Japan-related articles. I follow other blogs that go more in-depth on the two subjects (i.e., in-depth figure blogs, in-depth anime blogs, etc.), but your blog provides a nice assortment from all aspects of otaku-dom, making it easy to get a quick morning otaku fix. XD
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
Truth be told, I think that as far as content goes, it’s fine the way it is. The only improvement I could really think of would be the layout of the blog – it would be a bit easier to navigate the front page if all the blog posts were in a column in the moddle, with more space for each.
However, despite that minor quibble, I personally think that this is a spectacular blog! You have a nice variety of subject matter, and you have a good writing style! Thanks for providing an easy way to get one’s fix of otaku-dom, and keep up the good work!
1) The reason why I come back to this website is because of the great mix of general japanese culture and otaku culture.
As an anime fan, I love to see these updates on the newest anime news but I’ve found that I’ve also been absorbed into the Japanese culture and the various super interesting Japanese sub-cultures!
Whether it be the latest anime release or some cool news from The Land of the Rising sun, you always have me coming back for more.
2) To be honest, I love reading your posts. Thing thing is, you have site catagories like gravurexidols, groovin jtunes, japan, oishii, and otaku. Often times there will be plenty news in one catagory but others aren’t updated for weeks.
I know that you’ve said that you’ve been inspired by danny choo. What danny does is he entices his readers with stunning high quality and artistic shots. I have to say that you have a knack for photography I would highly suggest more image galleries of things that you’ve shot. Danny often travels around cities and takes images of his trips. Maybe you can put your own twist on photography! ;D
You have an absolutely great site and it has A LOT of potential! Now you’ve gotta keep doing your best! Run that last mile, hit that wall, and break right the **** through it.
I’m looking forward to what this site becomes and I’d love to hear YOUR feedback ;]!
Peace
~-LHK-
2. I can’t realy think of anything that you can improve on because this site provides everything in a info-otaku blog but if their was something that could be added then i would have 2 say more manga news.. ^3^
keep up the good work Alafista…gosh we should be the ones giving you presents for your dedicated blogging.although some of us have no jobs i_i thanks again for being loyal to us readers as we are loyal to our fellow info-otaku(alafista)
What do you like most about alafista.com?
I like all the figure reviews! These reviews allow me to review the figures available so that I can make intelligent choice on which figures to buy with my meagre pocket money! Also visiting this website brings me closer to Japan, although I am physically not there! It certainly saves the cost of air travel…lol. Last but not least, I like you, the owner of these site who is so generous to contribute goodies for giveaway! Thanks a lot even if dun have the luck to get the vocaloid nendoroid puchi. You are truly amazing!
How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce/write more about?
Well, I think you should introduce more about japanese culture. Also, you can allow more interaction between you and other bloggers. Perhaps, you can organize blogging competitions on specific figures to determine who gives the best comments and thoughts on new figures! Thanks, thats all.
First of all I want to clarify that generally i do not read Alafista from the site, because I keep several blogs, so I read it from Google Reader.
Therefore I will not talk about the site design or related things.
- What do you like most about alafista.com?
As I said before (and because I read the blog from the Reader), what interests me and what I like is the content of the site, mainly because the content is for both men and women. (Well, except for the post about Japanese models). But knowing a little about Readability and Scanability, i am happy to say that holds quite well, because the post is short, simple and concise, which are critical elements in this type of communication and online media.
- How do you think I should improve it or what kind of content should I introduce / write more about?
Speaking from the same perspective, and as I mentioned before, I think you should try to be more different from your competitors, which are several.
For example, I also read DC, Tomopop and Sankaku Complex, and I have some difficulties with the last one in terms that I found hard to remember the difference where I read the information from. I speak always thinking of readers who use Reader and don’t get directly to the site (significant number of people in your target)
So I think there are 2 options:
1 Reduce the spectrum of topics, that is, delimit them more (maybe remove the model section or another one), because in that way it will be more unisex, at least in the contents. So you will be able to reach a larger number of people (women).
2 Reinforce and improve the language style and writing perspective that you already use, in that way the personality of the “informants” will become more recognizable for the readers at the moment of review the content itself, which ultimately is the most important thing you need.
The latest, the Reader does not show the images of “Promote This Article” i do not know why.
Oops I think it was a lot, but I was sincere.
Good luck with the site, it is rare for me to comment, but I read every one of his post.
Sorry for my poor English
A greeting from Chile.
