Customised Black Saber Lily

The 1/7 Saber Lily PVC by GoodSmile Company is one of my favorite figure, and the highlight is of course her lovely white-armored dress. One collector thought she would look better in black, and went ahead to create this awesome customisation as seen below:

There seems to be a more mysterious aura surrounding Saber now that she is wearing black. I especially liked how the base was customised to have a couple of swords sticking our of the ground and with one of the sword has been broken.

So would you ever do any customisation to your own figures?

This looks awesome to me, very creative base with swords stacked on the ground too.

    Saber Lily = Win.
Black Saber Lily = PURE Win.

Looks really cool, but i don’t have the guts nor the skill to mod a figure.

  3. Everything looks better in black! XD

The custom is really impressive ! I like this version for her colors (black Saber) and her base (original).

    This is realy nice.
It is hard to shade black.
If anyone wants to try this why not try buying an unassembled un painted model? I build and paint them. It is a lot of fun to do.

To make black shadeable mix it with brown or blue.

If you do not like your paint job strip it off with brake fluid. It will not damage your kit but after a soaking the paint comes off.

Not everyone will be able to produce a figure as well as this Artist their first time or maybe not at all.
Do not be discouaged. Just try again.

“So would you ever do any customisation to your own figures?”

If I had the kind of money to buy two of the same exhorbitant figures, plus any other figure that was necessary for the extra swords, and if I had the skill, time, and patience, then yes.

    Otherwise, EPIC NO.

Also, since now it’s damn hard to get the original Alter, non-recast Saber Lily figure, pure HELLS NO.
