Gundam Christmas Tree in Akiba
I never thought the word “Gundam” and “Christmas” would be linked together, but this season a special Gundam Tree made from 60 gunpla kits will be erected in Akihabara, and the lighting ceremony is scheduled on 3 Dec 2009.
The seiyuu for Amuro Ray, Toru Furuya is the guest of honor for the Gundam Tree light-up ceremony, whereby the tree will be illuminated with red, blue and white colored lights, which are also signature colors of Gundam.
Coincidentally, the lighting ceremony falls on the same day of the launch of PSP game Gundam vs Gundam Next Plus. The first 100 folks who purchase the game will have a chance to meet and greet Toru Furuya, and have their photos taken together.
