Amiami Trials SAL Shipping
Two weeks back, Amiami Goes Began Its English Portal for international hobby fans. It seems like now the online figure store had received feedback from its new customers and realised that EMS shipping might be too expensive for some of us. Therefore, Amiami has now started a trial for SAL shipping for small packages.

And here’s the write-up on the SAL trial:
Now we start to accept “SAL small packet registered” on trial to meet many customers’ requests. Though we will add about 700 yen as the registered fee and our handling charge to the normal SAL shipping rate, the shipping cost of the items less or equal 2kg must be lower.
If you wish SAL Registered shipping, please write “Request for SAL Registered shipping if possible” when you order. Please remember, “SAL Registered” may be more reliable than normal SAL(not registered), but not so much as “EMS” is, SAL shipping takes more days to be delivered, and SAL is not available for some countries such as Korea ,Taiwan. Thank you!
Just a quick check, which shipping method do you usually use? I prefer EMS because its fast and secure. And if possible I actually prefer Fedex because their delivery man and customers services are excellent.

I often use SAL because it’s cheaper, but I too would gladly spend some extra on EMS-shipping if my wallet was bigger. Personally I have never experienced trouble with SAL, but do you know any cases were items have arrived as defects or was delivered to wrong places using this method?
I had already tried to use this service. But when they calculated the cost of the shipping, it was actually more expensive than EMS (The registration process itself is expensive, 700yen). So they decided to ship my package thru EMS
I’ve just recently started using EMS instead of SAL, and I doubt I’ll be going back any time soon. I might occasionally use SAL if it’s an item I’m not in a huge rush to get, but on anything else I’d rather pay extra and get it faster and more securely.
I use SAL when it’s available. That’s also why I’ve been making my purchases at HLJ and not at Hobby Search. I remember I bought a keychain at Hobby Search once, and the shipping cost me more than thrice as much as the keychain itself.
