Otaku Proficiency Test

Here’s a quick and reliable 5-min test to find out whether you are eligible to call youself an “anime otaku”.
Below is a series of five pictures that resemble simple lines and shapes to the average man on the street. But an anime otaku well-trained in the “force” will be able to quickly spell out the anime characters from five different anime series:

Oh wait — that’s Doraemon and not Mobile Suit Gundam
they have the same color scheme XDDD

I never watched Detective Conan…so it didn’t click me to think it was him…based on the color scheme… T___T Punish me~~
omg i thought the third one was valkyria chronicles
It wouldnt be to far off, they use the same color scheme except for the yellow i think, havent seen the anime
Yeah is doraemon. Otherwise metatron would have gotten all correct ^^
I would say its:
1. Nagato or any girl with the uniform of Suzumiya Haruhi
2. The only one i couldn’t recognize
3. Doraemon it seems
4. Eva
5. Detective Conan
It seems I’m not ready to be a full fledged otaku

Actually, these pictures are taken from a video in which there are lots of pictures like these. I wrote about it on my blog.

I got haruhi and evangelion right away. I’ve never seen the other shows, I got them wrong of course. I guess I’m not hardcore, but I already knew that.
I only got three, I should have realize the the second one was Lupin and the third I thought it was Gundam.
Jojojojo… i saw it in Gigazine, and as a lot of people do, i identify the third pic with Gundam and not with Doraemon.
But i really like the Asuka’s one (in Gigazine).
i only got 2/5 lol does that mean im a casual otaku? XD
I got all of them except 2 and 5. I guessed “Gundam” and “Sailor Moon,” respectively. I guessed “Lupin” and “Case Closed” aren’t all that popular where I’m from, though they did air on Adult Swim some time ago.
Oh gawd. I didn’t think I’d get ANY of them, but… *A* 4/5!
I guessed Haruhi long before I saw this. Like last montho or something.
So 1 was easy.
2 Lupin III, since I used to watch it when I was a kid. x’P
3 I had to pass but the only anime I could think of is Doraemon; used to watch that too. Lawl (but I like Mojacko more x’P)
4 Evangelion, even though I’ve never completely watch the whole series, but I know mecha with that color scheme :’P
5 Detective Conan, since I watched the Lupin III VS Detective Conan movie before x’3 Although I’ve known of Conan for awhile…just never got to watching the series. (too many episodes O_O) lawl
I always thought I was just an Akiba-kei…but I guess not. Lawl
I still think #3 is from Gundam…
but I suppose it could be …

Awesome! I got 3 out of 5: Haruhi, Lupin, and Gundam. That’d make me a half hardcore Otaku. XD
i can only recongize no 4 which is evagelion. its the color of shinji.
hahaha for me the doraemon scheme looks more like sailor moon hhahaha
anyways all of us are otakus.
