Time to take stock of how well this site has performed over the past month, and I’m immensely delighted to announced that Alafista has crossed the 6,000 daily unique visitor mark ^^ I’m really quite excited about this growth in readership since it has just been two months since we broke the 5,000 mark. If this site manages to cross the 7,000 mark by end of this year, then it would mean a 100% growth in readership for the entire year, but that is still too early to say for now.

Basically the month of October ended with a high because of my latest DSLR upgrade which some of you folks who have already read about on my twitter. After thinking over it for a couple of months, I finally went out and bought the Canon 5D MK II, a full-frame DSLR which I had been wanting to get since its release.

So what had I been up to this month? Here’s a quite run through:

As with all the past months, I had been busy juggling all my activities together. I had been busy learning Japanese on Fridays, taking photography classes on Wednesdays and going out fortnight with comrade kodomut for our Nendo’s Travelogue.

Its really great fun to resume my photography classes again, and this round we had quite a number of new classmates who are good photographers as well. I feel quite blessed to be learning from such a great tutor, whom had personally taught some of Singapore’s finest photographers, and they are making it big internationally. Maybe some day I would get a chance to do so too ^^

After the end of this week, I will be completing my Intermediate Japanese class and moving onto Pre-Advance level while I wait for the upcoming JLPT 3 examinations in December.

As for new collaborations and opportunities, this site will be having its third official sponsor, and I will be announcing it in a few days time once they are ready with the banner. On the local front, I had been trying to get myself recruited for the single opening on the X-Team (Xbox Singapore).

More details for this month’s stats: October served just over 1,014,338 page views to an average of 6,299 unique daily users.  The monthly unique users amounted to an accumulative total of 195,291. Its just been amazing that this site managed to achieved the 6k milestone before my upcoming birthday this week. I’m gonna try and find a way to reward my loyal readers with some lovely goodies, so keep a lookout for my birthday announcement ^^
