Last week, I reported that a New Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- was in the works. Famitsu has confirmed that the game will be released for the arcade instead of the consoles which I was hoping for.
Nico Nico will be holding a contest from 10 Oct 2009 till 31 Oct 2009 to gather more Miku songs to include inside the game.

It seems like they are learning from the success of IdolM@ster, where it also eventually started out on the arcade and made quite a lot of money for Namco Bandai before being ported onto the Xbox 360. But still I’m quite dissapointed that it will not be released on the PS3 or Xbox 360.

LOL yeah I’m dissapointed too. But I think they would eventually release it for the consoles once they finish milking the arcade folks.
Possibly true…who knows it might be a test whether it will be their next step for other consoles ^^
