Crayon Shin-chan Anime Continues Despite Author’s Death

Most of you have already know that mangaka Yoshito Usui, the creator of Crayon Shin-chan passed away on 20 Sep 2009 after falling from a mountain hiking trail. TV Asahi has finally broke the silence and announced that they intend to keep the show going.

According to the news article by MSN Sankei, TV Asahi had consulted the family members and they support the continuation of the anime series.

President of TV Asahi, Hiroshi Hayakawa added that he would expect to crew to continue the series while still using the reference of the original work by Yoshito.

Its interesting to see anime series like Doraemon and Sazae-san continue to so popular after the death of their authors. Wonder if the crew of Crayon Shin-chan can pull off that feat too ^^

    well i do not watch the anime series of shin-chan, but i enjoy the manga version a lot. now there is no more real ending for shin-chan anymore (which i think would not have anyway). rest in peace yoshito usui sensei
