Its been quite a while since we heard anything on the live-action Cowboy Bebop movie starring Keanu Reeves. In the latest update, the star of the movie Keanu Reeves revealed that progress is slow because the script for the movie is now being re-written.
During a press event for The Private Lives of Pippa Lee film, he said:
There’s a draft of the script, but the writer did such a great job [that] in order to make the movie, you would need half a billion dollars.
So obviously its not possible for the studio and they are doing a rewrite. Reeves had added that the producers are “just trying to pull it back” in scope, and “the only challenge was to make a satisfying western narrative.”

I think its a good decision to rewrite the script and scale it down. I’m sure the studio wouldn’t want to spend half a billion and realise that they have made a terrible adaption that no one want to watch. But having said that, I’m really looking forward to this movie!!

They’ve shat on their own such as the First Incredible Hulk, Fantastic 4, X-Men, Ghost Rider, Avatar -The Last Airbender-, GI-Joe, the second Transformers, etc… And let’s not forget Chun Li AND Dragon Ball!
Don’t hold your breath for this “Cowboy Bebop” of theirs.
So what did you think of the second Incredible Hulk and the first Transformer movie? O_o
They still shat on the first Transformer movie but it did entertain me. The second Hulk Movie is better than the first Ang Lee shit (yep… Ang Lee is crap! There’re far better directors than him in China/Japan) that it seemed awesome.
Just don’t lose hope, as far as i know this manga is not imposible to adapt to a movie (like dragonball) so maybe there is a glimmer of hope
They should have just spent the half billion.
Hmm… I’ll wait for the trailer before I can make a judgment. Who knows, it might turn out good. If not, then “oh well”!
If Reeves is part of the project it’s clearly doomed.
Aw no I love Keanu, I hope this film will be good!
Lets not forget that this will be a cowboy bebop movie STARRING KEANU REEVES. There is no possible way this will be good.
