Japanese Customised Cars

Submitted by Alafista on Monday, 21 September 20093 Comments

Apart from otakus who love to pimp their ride with anime decals, there are other Japanese folks who love to modify their cars as well. Here’s are two interesting clips that showcases some of the most interesting cars I’ve ever seen.

The cars in the first video are still rather cool vehicles, but those in the second video are just too ridiculous to be on the road.

Here’s a summary of the different vehicles that appeared in this show:

  1. Subaru R1 modded to look like a tiny Ferrari
  2. Cadillac limousine lowrider with bright pink seats
  3. Drag car which looks like a tank, and has a 25,000-horsepower jet engine)
  4. Campagna T-Rex with a 1352cc Kawasaki ZZR1400 engine
  5. BMW E66 that has a special trunk with Buddhist sutras written in 30,000 Swarovski crystals
  6. Toyota Celsior UCF20 with gullwings, scissor doors, split hood, and 24 monitors installed inside the car
  7. Batman van
  8. Rocket launcher van
  9. Replica of the Ultraman’s “Pointer” vehicle
  10. Hitachi ASTACO machine used by Tokyo Fire Department to clear debris

The Campagna T-Rex is really an awesome bike/car. If they made it larger, it would almost look like a bat mobile or something ^^
