After being reported for more than a week in the mountains, police have finally located the body of the creator of Crayon Shin-chan and identified to be him using dental records.
Police had concluded that he had died sometime in the afternoon of 11 Sep 2009 from injuries substained after falling down the moutain’s Tomoiwa cliff. His body was discovered by another climber and police airlifted his body from the mountains on Sunday afternoon.

i grew up reading his shin-chan manga… he has left a great legacy to us, and iwill definitely miss his works… rest in peace… Yoshito-sensei
