Crayon Shinchan’s Creator Goes Missing

Most of us would be familiar with Crayon Shinchan, the anime featuring the wacky mischievous kindergarten kid Shinnosuke Nohara. Well, it seems like his creator, Yoshito Usui [臼井儀人] has gone missing since last Friday after going hiking in the mountains in Gunma Prefecture.

He had told his family that he would return in same evening but never did. His family reported him missing the next day and the Saitama police have been searching for him in cooperation with the police in Gunma and Nagano prefectures.

With all the funny and weird news stories that we heard about Saitama, somehow I’m not really that confident their policemen will be able to locate Yoshito-san.

  4. Don’t people who hike in mountains or forests usually go WITH a partner/group? If he didn’t, then finding him alive is slim O_o
