Ever met an honest polite robber? Here’s a news story of a man that wasn’t really cut out to be a robber and was persuaded by a convenience store clerk to give up and quietly wait for police.
Ryo Miyata, who is unemployed and has no fixed address, entered a Familymart in Kita Ward at 3:30 a.m. He brandished a cutter and said:
“Could you give me some money please?”
The clerk instead said: “Why don’t you stop this?” Miyata immediately said “OK” and put the knife down ion the counter. “He looked quite timid and was very polite,” the clerk told reporters. The clerk then asked Miyata to wait in the back room for the police, which he did quietly.
Miyata, who had very little money on him, was quoted as saying that he was indigent. “I bought the cutter at a nearby 100-yen shop,” he told police.

I’m sure this is the first time the man is committing robbery. Somehow I emphathise with this man’s plight and hopes that he finds a job soon ^^
