We all heard stories of dirty old men soliciting underaged girls for paid sex. But here’s a unfortunate story of a 14-year-old boy in Kanagawa Prefecture who paid 60,000 yen to have sex with a 13-year-old girl he met on an online dating site.

The boy, a third grader at a Tokyo junior high school, paid out of the more than 100,000 yen he had saved in cash allowances from his parents, Kanagawa police said.

They sent local prosecutors documents on the boy’s ‘‘indecent act’’ in a railway station toilet in Sagamihara on March 1, when the girl was a 13-year-old first grader at a junior high school. Police quoted the boy as saying that he carried out the act because he ‘‘had money and was interested in sex.’’ He enticed the girl by portraying himself as an 18-year-old in a message posted from a personal computer at his home.

Its quite unfortunate the both teens had come to a conclusion that sex can be freely traded as a commodity.

But then again, I always remember my father telling me to save my pocket money because someday I would come across something that I would really want. I guess his words of wisdom made much sense after all =P
