Walt Disney Acquires Marvel For US$4 Billion
All the wonderful superheroes under the Marvel Comics will soon be joining Micky Mouse and friends because Disney has acquired Marvel Entertainment for an incredible US$4 billion deal.
Here’s what the big boys who orchestrated the business deal has to say:
“We believe that adding Marvel to Disney’s unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation,” Disney president and chief executive Robert Iger said.
“We are pleased to bring this talent and these great assets to Disney.”
Other Marvel’s characters include Captain America, the Fantastic Four and Thor.
“Disney is the perfect home for Marvel’s fantastic library of characters given its proven ability to expand content creation and licensing businesses,” said Marvel chief executive Ike Perlmutter.
“This is an unparalleled opportunity for Marvel to build upon its vibrant brand and character properties by accessing Disney’s tremendous global organization and infrastructure around the world,” he added.
I would love to see Micky Mouse and Goofy fight crime against the villianous Red-Skull or Dr. Doom, while all dancing to the High School musical theme song.
I have been suffering the entire day because of this news, i loved how marvel comics had a new approach at his comics and the current story line for the ones i follow was quite good, now that disney is the one on charge i really hope this doesn’t change at all or they will lose a lot of readers

this is aweful news, marvel wasfinally seeing how mature material in their comics will increase sales and now at the end of every comic the hero will turn around and say “remember kids, fighting crime is dangerous, leave it to the professionals”

I have a bad feeling about this.
Not that I care all that much about Marvel(though I respect them),but I started to hate Disney ever since they started doing shows like…HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL…Seems like Marvel’s future isn’t really bright….
