While I don’t remember the Shuffle! franchise having any mahjong games, here’s a set of mahjong tiles that features the Shuffle! characters.
The entire set of mahjong tiles is scheduled to be released in late October 2009 and will be retailing for around 6,500 yen. Interested folks can place your preorders with Hobby Search.
I bet that industry folks are now selling mahjong tiles because of the recent anime series Saki which had cute girls competing in a ridiculously complex mahjong tournament. While I have no idea how to play the game, I would love to draw the tile of Primula with her stuffed kitty.
6,500? Isn’t that too much? I don’t know how much a regular set of mahjong costs, but 6,500 yen seems overboard to me.
But they are moe mahjong tiles! I’m sure otaku would pay any amount for that even thought they can’t play the game LOL
I believe the company that produced Shuffle (Navel) also produced a visual novel called Nee Pon? x Rai Pon! which was a mahjong strategy game funny eh?

I love traditional Mahjong, so cool and strategic… 6,500 seems only fair for a professional set though, still this looks cute but I would get too distracted looking at the art and lose the game^^;
I saw my relatives playing the game and they occasionally bang the mahjong tiles on the table. I would never do that to these mahjong tiles, I would demand that my friends wash their hands before they start playing =P
