Japan gets really hot in the summer but that doesn’t stop the otaku crowd!!

Fuji TV reports the huge crowd that is formed at the Life-Size Gundam Statue at Odaiba and Comiket 76:

Its just amazing to see the huge crowd for Comiket each year. It must be a daunting task just to reach the entrance in the long long queue.

sea of people @_@ srsly
scary if i lost in there D :
The queues in the first pic are for the commercial booths (Typemoon, Nitro+, various anime studios, etc) alone. The queues for the Doujin will be even longer.
I got in at 12pm today, and it took me an hour and a half just to get to one of the halls :-/ And the afternoon is supposedly the least crowded time, as well.
oooh dear thats a lot of otaku!
Wow. Looks like ants attacking a picnic. You really have to hand it to the Japanese, being able to have that many people in one location without it devolving into anarchy, like it would here in the States.
And I thought the queues at Disney World And Universal Studios were long! Maybe these type of conventions need a fast pass or something similar. You’ve got a very informative site btw. I have put you on my main RSS reader page. I will try to post a comment everyday.
Ja mata ne
I didn’t know otaku breed at an alarming rate
