Japanese love their oddly-shaped fruits. A quick witted farmer managed to grow pyramid-shaped watermelons, stuck King Tut stickers on them, and sold 16 of those “premium” watermelon for 52,500 yen each!

Here’s a news report on the watermelon, and at the start you can see the famous square watermelon as well.

This watermelon is like 5 times more expensive than the heart-shaped watermelon that we featured back in May. I betcha there will be no Egyptians that would pay for such an expensive watermelon if it has King Tut’s seal of approval.

I always wonder how exactly they shape em like that.. must be something pretty special for that price.
Hmm, what’s next? A ball-shaped melon? No wait, we already have that lol. It wouldn’t surprise me if we’ll get to see a banana-shaped melon sometimes in the future. ^__^
LOL a banana-shaped watermelon, That is so wrong! But then it might make it easier to eat!
…I must….HAVE! I bet it taste plain as hell, LOL. Lets see 52,000 yen….how many Shocker Troopers would I need to send to steal one?
