MechWarrior Game Franchise Revived

Its been almost 20 years since the release of the first MechWarrior game and 10 years since the previous release of MechWarrior 4. The folks at Piranha Games, who helped developed the Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen game will be reviving the MechWarrior series.

Here’s a trailer of what to expect from the game, looks really cool:a

I’ve been a big fan of the franchise when I was a kid. I still remember my favorite Mech was the Timber Wolf ^^

Oh my, if you did not mentioned this, Mechwarrior would definitely have faded away from my memory.

And yes, Timberwolf is awesome. Though I forgot how it looks like and why it’s awesome. Just that I vaguely recalled me attempting to draw it during lesson time XD

Boring games, mech warriors games are epitomized by giant slow ass turtles moving about.

Imagine a FPS, instead of running and the bunny hopping, you have 90 years old grannies with walking stick on one hand and a water gun on the other, that’s Mech Warriors. The machines are so FUGLY that if it were real life I’d rather be caught driving an Aztec or Element than being seen in one of those mechs. To add insult to injury, the control is just terrible. Difficult control is not “learning curve”, it’s simply bad design and an impediment to enjoying the game.

Sorry, these types of games died for a very good reason.

I remember big kids laughing at me because I called the Timber Wolf a Mad Cat Prime. I don’t get why they did that since it was called that in Mecha Press (awesome mech magazine from Protoculture Addicts.).

Wasn’t that big fan of mechwarrior but the game looks great.
