McDonalds Goes Pink In Shibuya

If you had been walking around Shibuya before 16 June 2009, you would have spotted the interesting sight of a McDonalds restaurant with huge pink McDonald’s French fries and pink windows.

The pinkish promotion was part of the campaign to promote the Quarter Pounder in Japan. The store even sells the pink rose shirt that you see wrapped around those fries.

Its pretty cool to see a pink McDonalds, quite a different sight from the usual bright red. But then again, it looks like Hello Kitty just invaded the joint.

Wait, what does pink have to do with the quarter pounder? If I was just passing by I would’ve thought it was a campaign for breast cancer.
