Final Fantasy XIV Beta Test To Start In September?

Gigazine is speculating that beta testing for the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV might start as soon as September this year.
This is because Square Enix is hiring game master for an undisclosed game that commence in mid-Sept. According to Gigazine, beta testing usually takes four months and since Final Fantasy XIV is scheduled for 2010, theres a good chance that beta testing is starting soon.

Have any of you folks done beta-testing for games before. I had beta tested for a couple of games and I found it to be quite fun since you can get to preview the game earlier than others.
I beta tested Final Fantasy XI for the PS2, which netted me a free PS2 HDD when the game was officially released. I hope I can get into the beta for this one as well. I’ve also beta tested City of Heroes, City of Villains, Everquest 2, World of Warcraft, and some others.
