Otaku Tanabata Wishes

Submitted by Alafista on Monday, 22 June 20096 Comments

Those who have recently caught the second season of Haruhi would be familiar with Tanabata [七夕] and its customs of writing your wishes on small pieces of paper.

Recently otakus who visited Akihabara’s Kaiyodo Hobby Store has also picked up the act of penning down their wishes and hanging it on the small plant inside the store. Of course, they are completely otaku wishes and showcase the hilarious nature of our hobby and passion ^^

First up, the tanazaku seen below is similar to the one seen in the “Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody” episode of Haruhi.

Another otaku writes: “I hope Haruhi comes to visit me”

This person writes: “I hope I become a best-selling ero-manga artist”

A interesting fantasy: “This year, I wish Mamiko Noto would visit me in a nurse uniform”

Interesting conversation below: Mio is my bride (left); Stop messing around!! YOU are my wife!! (center); Takuan is my bride. (right)

And of course with her recent sucessful album release, someone had to write: “Nana Mizuki is my bride”

So what would you write if you have a pen and paper right now? I think I would ask to have a lovely date with Mio Akiyama ^^
