Cram School Manager Grew Marijuana on School Rooftop

Many urban folks are making use of rooftops to grow some greens. But this Nagoya Cram School manager decided to grow marijuana for his own personal consumption.

Kazuomi Fujiwara, instructor and manager of the Nishiharu branch of the Nodajuku cram school chain, is accused of growing six plants in a suitcase found on the rooftop of the school. Police searched the school on Monday after receiving an anonymous tip-off that Fujiwara was growing marijuana plants.

Fujiwara has admitted to the allegation, saying that the marijuana was for personal use and he started growing it hydroponically on the roof in summer last year.He said that the door to the roof had a lock and that students could not access it. He also told police he had been smoking marijuana since he was in high school.

The Nodajuku cram school chain is well-known in Aichi Prefecture, having 53 schools there. The Nishiharu branch has 130 students, ranging in age from fourth-grade elementary school to third-year junior high.

I guess he was too stressed from teaching the high-school kids, that he need to get “high” himself. LOL

But then again, why did he grow marijuana in a suitcase?

Yeah kinda weird in a suitcase.. So smoking marijuana is illegal in Japan?
I never understood why making such things illegal, you do it to yourself, not hurting others with it. My dad grows and smokes it, he’s a sweetypie.
