Nana Mizuki Becomes First Seiyuu To Conquer Oricon Weekly Charts

Just last week, Nana Mizuki 水樹奈々 released her 7th album ULTIMATE DIAMOND. Her album was so awesome that it sold more than 74,000 copies in the first week and now Mainichi Mantan reports that she has become the first seiyuu to clinch the #1 top spot on the Oricon weekly charts.

I really enjoyed the album as well. My favorite tracks are Etsuraku Camellia [悦楽カメリア], TRICKSTER, Astrogation and Yume no Tsuzuki [夢の続き].


It probably just proves how crazy otakus can be. Just look at the K-ON! singles.
Yes, I particularly enjoyed Astrogation also, the strings were awesome!
Yeah Astrogation was one of the awesome tracks that I didn’t mention.
Maybe this will allow seiyuu to get some recognition. It’s been hypothesized that if seiyuu were to become mainstream singers, it might help the reputation of akiba-kei.
