Yuzu-Pepper KitKat

Gigazine has spotted some unique Japanese-flavored KitKat that is limited to the Kyushu region – Yuzu Kosho 「柚子こしょう」.

Yuzu Kosho 「柚子こしょう」 is a spicy Japanese sauce made from green or yellow yuzu zest, green or red chili peppers, and salt.

Here’s a look at the inside of the box and whats hidden between those wafers. Gigazine has describe the taste as a “hot and sweet chocolate wafer with a subtle citrus taste”.

I thought just a plain Yuzu-flavored KitKat might taste nice. But with pepper and salt …. no thanks!
