Man Kills Landlord Over Stray Cat

Some folks just love their pets so much that they would kill someone over them. Here’s an old man who killed his landlord during a quarrel over feeding a stray cat.
According to the ruling by the Kawasaki branch of the Yokohama District Court, Masao Takada, 70, has been sentenced to 22 years in jail for fatally stabbing his landlord, Fumiya Katano, 76, last June 4.
Takada also hit and seriously injured Katano’s daughter-in-law with a steel bar when she tried to rescue him. Takada had occasionally fed a stray cat outside his apartment, and Katano had warned him to stop it.

I doubt that old guy would survive the 22 years inside jail. But at least he would still find some new company inside.
