Have you ever had the experience where you kinda left out something or forgot to do something that you just had to go back to check what you missed? Well this man who was involved in a hit-and-run returned to the scene of the crime, leading to his arrest.

According to reports, the incident happened around 12:30 Friday morning. The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Tsukuba City resident Fumio Takaya, was driving in nearby Ushiku City when he suddenly struck 38-year-old Masanori Yoshioka, a board member at a local company.
Takaya fled from the scene, but returned about 40 minutes later and turned himself in to police. Takaya was quoted by police as saying:
“I kept thinking I had hit something, and when I came back to check, there were police.”

Somehow I believed he was so drunk to tell whether he had knock down someone with his car. But at least he still had the decency to go back.

I salute the man for have the decency to turn himself in. I probably would have just kept on going forward thinking I drove over a pothole.
I guess most people would rather convince themselves that they hit a cat, ran over a pothole, and then go home to have dinner than go back to check whether there is indeed a dead person on the ground.
wow people are just so honest these days.
not everyone… but indeed people like this really needs to be honored…
Wow.. “I kept thinking I hit something.”
Maybe he didn’t wanna turn in – just that it was too late when he saw the police there.
I would probably do the same thing in his shoes. I mean if you end up getting caught later, you’d be in even more trouble.
I suppose that is something not everyone would do ^^;
But I respect him for being honest
