Middle & High School Girls Survey For Ideal Mother

Today is Mother’s Day and have you given your mom a big hug yet? Japanese mobile media company P-Nest Inc asked middle and high school girls who they thought would make the perfect mom, and former Morning Musume member Nozomi Tsuji topped the list.

Both middle and high school girls voted for the 21-year-old singer, Nozomi Tsuji, who was married in 2007 and has recently given birth for the first time.

Middle school girls tended to prefer younger celebrities who have yet to tie the knot, while high schoolers’ selections leaned more toward women who were married and close to their own mother’s ages. Despite these differences, one aspect all girls looked for in their ‘ideal mum’ was “a woman who could be more like a friend than just a parent.”

I find it weird that when young people are asked to choose the ideal mother, they just chose their favorite idol. Personally I didn’t think Nozomi Tsuji is really that good of a role model considering her shotgun pregnancy and marriage which drew criticism from the media.
