Crocodile Abandoned Outside Pet Training Centre

The economic crisis has taken a toll on many people, so sometimes folks who are unable to care for their pets anymore would abandon their pets. That is what exactly happened to this poor crocodile which was left outside a pet training center in Asahi City, Chiba Prefecture.

Along with the abandoned 1.5-meter-long reptile, there was a note inside the bag which said:

“I lost my job in March and can’t afford to support him any more. I was told by a pet shop that they can’t accept him without authorization. His name is ‘Gen.’ Please take care of him.”

The crocodile was accompanied by his international endangered species registration certificate, which indicates that he is a young Siamese crocodile.

Here’s a short video of the news coverage on this homeless crocodile:

So anyone looking for a new pet? I betcha a crocodile has a higher success rate of chasing away any tresppasser than a dog. ^^

Speaking of adopting pets, recently I have been thinking of getting a cat. Don’t know whether I should go and adopt one from the SPCA or get one from the pet store.

not a cat lover myself, i kinda prefer dogs to cats. mainly because they don’t shed ^^

I’d prefer to get a dog considering it could at least force me to exercise… me and a cat would just compete at lazy lol

Croc would be good though, they live long, grow big and eat ur enemies. I could keep him in the bath tub/toilet… im considering this purchase lol

  3. Cats rule. I love cats. i also like dogs. Cats are great though, considering that you don’t have to give them baths.
