Fender Guitar Japanese Staff Love K-On!

K-On! is such a coolsome anime series that even the staffs at Fender Japan are watching it and blogging about it! For those that are unfamiliar, Mio Akiyama plays a left-handed, 3-Color Sunburst Fender Jazz Bass in the show.

てか、ベースの澪ちゃんはな、なんとヴィンテージのジャズ・ベース（現行品で言う62JAZZ BASS）、しかもレフティー…もう萌まくりです。
And the bassist Mio is using a vintage jazz bass (the 62 JAZZ BASS), and she’s a lefty too… it’s so moe.
これはブレイクな予感。

I wonder if Mio will be so popular that Fender will produce one of their trademark limited edition guitar just for her.
i always wondered whether these companies (fender, gibson, korg, yamaha) ever paid kyoani to have their brands showcased in the anime (ala pizza hut in code geass or yamaha in nodame) but i guess from this blog entry that this might not be the case?
