Giant Mechanical Spider Invades Yokohama

Following the report on the Fire Breathing Robot At Roppongi Hills, now we have giant mechanical spider that is walking around Yokohama and spewing water from its mouth!

A giant robot spider parades through the square in front of the Red Brick Warehouse in Naka Ward, Yokohama, on Friday, April 17, as part of “Expo Y150,” the 150th anniversary of Yokohama Port’s opening. The 12-meter-high, 37-ton spider, produced by French company La Machine, spews water from its mouth while walking. The spider will parade through city streets until Sunday, as part of the build-up to the expo which kicks off on April 28. (Mainichi)

Here’s the spider in action back in September 08 when it was touring Liverpool.
