Last month I reported that Rumiko Takahashi’s latest work was scheduled to be revealed in Spring. Now the folks on 2ch has uncovered her latest work prior to the reveal on Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, which is scheduled for release next Wednesday.

Her latest manga is titled Kyōkai no Rinne [境界のRINNE], and here’s the japanese plot:
小さな頃、ある出来事に遭遇し
幽霊が見えるようになってしまった少女・真宮桜。
そんな彼女に ある日訪れる不思議な出会い――!?
Translation of the summary plot:
Sakura Mamiya, is a special girl who was able to see ghosts after a certain incident when she was young. One day, she gets a mysterious visit by ….

I would love to check out this manga once its is serialised. I wonder how many chapter is she aiming for this time? Ranma ran for 38 volumes while Inuyasha ran for 58 volumes. Maybe this one would exceed 100?!

“Sakura Mamiya, is a special girl who was able to see ghosts after a certain incident when she was young. One day, she gets a mysterious visit by ….”
Replace “girl” with “boy”, “ghost” with “death lines” and add “a wandering magus”… then it sounds more familiar. iykwim
Other than that, it sounds like a generic series… certainly we need more info. ^_^
“Sakura Mamiya, is a special girl who was able to see ghosts after a certain incident when she was young. One day, she gets a mysterious visit by …”
My version: Ichigo Kurosaki, is a special boy who was able to see ghosts after a certain incident when he was young. One day, he gets a mysterious visit by a hollow and a shinigami
lol pretty universal plot really but ill see what its like before i slag it off too much
