Apart from worrying about chikan 痴漢, Japanese women still have to deal with losta weird perv when taking the train. Last week, I just reported that a man was arrested for wiping saliva on sleeping woman on train, and this week police apprehended another man who splashed a foul-smelling liquid on a woman on a train.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Noritaka Takagi, 36, an unemployed resident of nearby Koga City, poured the contents of a can on the 22-year-old woman who was riding a local train at 5:20 a.m.
Other passengers detained the man and handed him over to station staff.
Passengers said the substance smelled like rotten fish, and police are currently analyzing the liquid to see what it was.
Police said there have been a number of similar reports since the beginning of this year.
