Still remember the story about the 20-year-old robber who was chased away a knife wielding 51-year-old women? Here’s another hilarious story showcasing the old Japanese women are really fiesty.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for theft on Sunday, accused of stealing a bag containing roughly 140,000 yen from the living room of a home in Fukuoka City. The suspect was apprehended by the home owner’s 84-year-old mother.
Kuruhara was carrying an iron bar, and told Nagamitsu he was robbing them. Instead of being intimidated, the old lady grabbed both his arms and took him outside.
Her 27-year-old granddaughter, who was in her bedroom on the second floor, heard the commotion and called police. Kuruhara was arrested at the scene and admitted to the allegations, police said.
The granny even said: “I wasn’t scared. I thought he might come back, or rob someone else, so I thought I’d better stop him.”

So there you go, never pick on old ladies for a fight. You might be asking for more than you can handle. =P
But I’m stil wondering, who leaves 140,000 yen just lying in the living room?

Unfortunately, it is Japan. Large wads of cash are not uncommon. It’s very much a cash based society (which you don’t really realise until you come here).
Having said that, go Granny!
Well it’s Japan though. In other countries I don’t think that it’s a good idea for the granny to do that…
