Toshiba’s Robot To Become Caretaker For Elderly Folks

Japan is facing a problem of greying population. To counter the problem of lack of caretakers for old folks, Tobshiba has designed the ApriAttenda.

The robot can open doors, handle trays and drinks and comes equipped with cameras in its three-fingered hands. The robot is designed in mind to be a suitable caretakers for the elderly.

Somehow I have doubts about this robot. What if it goes berserk and start attacking those poor defenseless old folks instead?
