Canon has announced a new entry level DSLR – EOS 500D, a marked-down hybrid between the latest EOS 50D and 5D Mark II. It has the 50D sensors and a similar video recording ability of the 5D Mark II.

The body is supposedly going to be release for 899 USD in the U.S., which is a rather good buy considering its coolsome features:
- 15.1 MP CMOS sensor
- Full HD (1080p) movies
- High ISO up to 12800 for low-light conditions
- 3.4fps with up to 170 JPEG burst
- 3.0” Clear View LCD with Live View mode
- 9-point AF system
- DIGIC 4
- EOS Integrated Cleaning System
- EF/EF-S and EX Speedlite compatibility
I love to check it out when it is released in May. But my dream camera is still the 5D mark II which I’m saving up for. Hope to get it by the end of the year.

My god, what an upgrade from the 450D! Shit, now my camera is going obsolete.
Ikura desuka?
Sweet! Shall wait for the next IT/Computer fair! Hopefully I’ll have enough money by then…
