For today’s breakfast, I had some sweet potato flavored KitKat and they tasted kinda wierd, a taste which was too complicated to describe.
The KitKat is titled Daigaku Imo (大学芋) which was a popular dish in college towns during the Taisho (1912-1926) and Showa (1926-1989) period. From the title you would know this KitKat was targetted at school kids during the school entrance period.
I’m actually quite a fan of deep fried or roasted sweet potato, but this KitKat just doesn’t fancy my palette.

Yep. They sure have some weird flavors there. The last funky KitKat I had was the Sakura one. Not really my taste.
I think the poorer one I tasted was the watermelon. It was so fake.
I’m still searching for the banana flavored one.
