Apple has launched the third generation iPod Shuffle and it is amazingly smaller than your car key and just retails for US $79. You can head over to apple’s website to watch the Guided Tour.

Here’s a list of some of its features:
- 4GB or 1,000 Songs
- Silver or black color options, stainless steel clip
- Controls have been moved to the earbud line
- “VoiceOver” Text to speech artist and track names and battery life in 14 languages
- 10 hours of playback (Down from 12 hours in previous gen)
Personally I don’t think it will appeal to many because its means that you cannot use any other earphones with this shuffle. I prefer to use my own earphone that those supplied by apple.

I think there are bigger issues than the earphones, for example, not having a screen and instead having it to read it for you just doesn’t do it for me. Also 4 gig is too small
