The Japanese have finally revealed their plans of building a life-size Gundam! Standing tall at 59 feet, this staute of RX-78-2 will be erectd at Odaiba’s Shiokaze Park in celebration fo the Mobile Suit Gundam 30th Anniversary Project.

The statue will be constructed with fiberglass-reinforced plastic over a steel frame, so it can be disassembled later. This is because the statue will only be there from July till September.

The statue will look spectacular at night with mist be shot out from 14 different locations in the park. There will be losta spotlights to illuminate the statue at night. The head will also be able to move, and 50 parts of the body will emit light.
