Gokusen Theatrical Film Announced

The live-action adaptation of Gokusen will return this Summer when the theatrical version hits the Japanese cinema in July.

Most of the cast from the third season will be returning – Yukie Nakama will be coming back as Kumiko “Yankumi” Yamaguchi, Haruma Miura (Ren Kazama) and Yuuya Takaki (Yamato Ogata) will also return.

The movie takes place after the graduation of the third season’s third-year class where there is a big confrontation between the third-year students and the second-year students.

As for the second-year students, they will led by first-time TV actor Yūta Tamamori of Kis-My-Ft2.

I just love the live-adaptation of the show. Too bad it ended so fast last year.
