Judge Awards Life Sentence To Yakuza For Wrong Hit

Remember the Yakuza whom killed the wrong man in a gang hit? He was preivously sentenced to 24 years in prison by the lower court.

However, the Fukuoka High Court has overturned the sentence and awarded him with a tougher punishment – life imprisonment.

Imadahas previously killed an innocent man in the hospital mistaking him for a rival gangster.

The interesting point is the yakuza Fumio Imada is already 62 years old. If you gave him a 24 years jail sentence, its almost as good he’s gonna die in there. So all the judges in the high court did was to make  sure he REALLY dies in prison …. what a waste of taxpayer money to review the case when they could be looking into other more important crimes.

I seem to recall him being very sorry for what he did so maybe life over 24 years is excessive but then can you really trust his word that he was, after all he is Yakuza and most people will say anything to get out of jail

Of course you can’t believe his word, but I don’t think that is the issue that is brought up. The guy is probably die in prison whether his sentence is 24 years or life.
