Train Delayed Because Driver Overslept

One sleepy head driver forgot to set his alarm and overslept resulting in his train being delayed and 1,000 passengers affected. The 33 year old driver overslept at Kintetsu Ikoma Station in Nara Prefecture on Wednesday, forcing the suspension of five runs.

The 33-year-old motorman was supposed to drive a train scheduled to depart at 6:03 a.m.  He decided to sleep at the station after working until midnight Tuesday but forgot to set the alarm clock.

Usually, other staff from the station and the railway’s local office are supposed to call to make sure the driver is up. But both forgot to do so.

I’m sure not only the train driver overslept but also the person who was supposed to remind him overslept as well. LOL
