Schoolgirls Duo Attack Others Who Seemed Rich & Happy
Two female junior high school seniors in Tokyo have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting other girls.
Their motive was simple and absurd:
We got frustrated with other girls who seemed to be rich and happy
The pair is believed to have targeted others who wore brand-name clothes or private school uniforms, according to police.
They allegedly beat a 12-year-old girl and injured her slightly at an elementary school in Hachioji in November, and attacked and injured a 13-year-old girl in a restroom in a building also in Hachioji, in December.
Three other girls are also believed to have been involved in the attacks. One told investigators:
When we saw girls with clean clothes, we thought they must be loved by their parents. I’ve been so miserable at home.
