Despite the gloomy financial climate not everyone is affected. For instance, Japan’s adult video industry seems to be enjoying steady growth despite the global economic downturn.
JapanToday reports that one of the adult industry players just had a nice extravagant year end partywhich was held at Tokyo International Forum in Yurakucho.
“Prizes for bingo games at the party included travel tickets abroad. A cooking demonstration featuring tuna worth a few million yen was also held.
Some top porn actresses, who are affiliated with the company, were given bonuses from half a million to 1 million yen.
Another guest at the party said, “I have never seen such a lavish party. It’s so conspicuous, considering everybody else is cutting back on entertainment because of the recession.”
Porn industry workers say the company, which invited 800 guests to the party, had its best year ever in terms of sales, thanks to its roster of popular porn actresses.
No matter how bad the economy gets, there will always be a demand for their products, they say.
