Cowboy Bebop Live-Action Movie Confirmed: Keanu Reeves As Spike Speigel

Sunrise has officially announced plans for a live-action film adaptation of Cowboy Bebop and Keanu Reeves has been confirmed to play the role of Spike Speigel.
Joshua Long is acting as a production supervisor. The associate producers are Sunrise President Kenji Uchida, the original Cowboy Bebop director Shinichiro Watanabe, and the original series script supervisor Keiko Nobumoto.
The Sunrise studio itself and Masahiko Minami (former Sunrise producer and BONES studio co-founder) are both acting as production consultants.
Cowboy Bebop is my favorite anime series of all time. I really hope Hollywood can make a good adaptation out of it.
I disagree entirely with Keanu Reeves as Spike. I have no doubt the film should turn out good but i really think they should have picked someone with a bit more in the way of acting talent.

dont listen to kitt lol….. anyway, its a good choice, he looks alot like him, HOPEFULLY keanu will try and act another personality rather than being himself all the time, he sux at acting, he ruined the day the earth stood still, srsly, watch the original….
i think this film will flop, its highly predictable, anyone seen the trailers for street fighter: origins of chun li and dragon ball live action, FAIL! it is americas legacy to make everything FAIL!
I really like Reeves as an actor. But like you said, Hollywood just make bad live-action adaptions.
Yup… Dragonball…. uh…. just remembering that film makes me scared for what might happen to Cowboy Bebop…. Lord help them make it a great live action film for us… Amen.

He always has that vacant expression in his eyes whenever he delivers a line. I am sad, however I am still hoping this movie will be great anyway. Live actions can be hit or miss.
