Japan’s Portrait Rights
Remember DannyChoo talking about it previously, now this poster is being placed at subway stations by the Japan Association of Music Enterprises (JAME) to raise public awareness of portrait rights [肖像権] of celebrities.

Japan’s Portrait Rights states that in order to publish photos of someone, you need their consent. So basically celebrities don’t want you to post their pictures online unless you give them some royalties $_$.
Come to think of it, how may of you ask for permission when taking photos of cosplayers?

I dont think paparazzis give a damn about Portrait Rights…This celebrities are PUBLIC figures, celebrities…I dont know if this people are aware of that…(sarcasm hidden)
About cosplayers, I think they dont care being photographed in conventions…
i remember the last expo i went to i saw this hawt girl dressed as haruhi and i went “HARUHI!” and she turned round, snapped the photo, smiled and walked away to perve over the pic (by that i mean admire it) and then when i got home most of the pix had corrupt….
I always ask before taking a picture of a cosplayer, since it’s only polite. And it helps get their attention if they’re walking by you lol.
